Thank you for visiting Canterbury City Council's planning consultation portal.

 

Current Consultation: LDF Core Strategy.

Canterbury City Council has prepared a Core Strategy Options Report.  The Core Strategy will provide an overall spatial strategy for the Canterbury District for the period until 2026.  We are seeking your views on two documents:

  1.  The Core Strategy Options Report and
  2.  The Sustainability Appraisal.

These are available to view below.

 

TO MAKE YOUR COMMENTS ONLINE - START BY SCROLLING TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE AND CLICK ON THE TITLE OF THE CONSULTATION.

Emails

Normally you will receive an acknowledgement email for each comment you make.  If you only want to receive one email when the consultation has finished then please complete the following steps:

  1. Click on 'My Account';
  2. Then click on 'My Details';
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select: 'when the consultation event closes';
  4. Finally click on 'OK'.

 

Please ensure that we receive your comments by 5pm on the 12th March 2010.

The documents have also been made available for inspection at the following deposit points and on the Core Strategy website.

Previous Consultations

Herne Bay Area Action Plan Submission (August 2009)

The City Council has submitted the Herne Bay Area Action Plan and all supporting documents, to the Secretary of State on 13th August 2009.  The City Council is proposing some focused amendments in response to the representations received at Proposed Submission March 2009.   The City Council has now received the Inspector's report.  Please visit the Council's website  for further information.
